Looking for a summer camp your child will never forget? Congratulations to our FFA State Champions! On April 11, 2025, our Nursery and Landscape team competed at Michigan State University—and brought home the win! From left to right: Paige Luck (Senior, Sand Creek), Rileigh Hoffman (Senior, Sand Creek), Myra Parker (Senior, BD), Lillian Helinski (Senior, Onsted), and Cera LaRatta (Junior, Madison). Students showcased their skills in plant identification, landscape blueprint reading, bidding and estimating, tool identification, and nursery stock measuring—and their hard work paid off! Next stop: Nationals! The team has qualified to compete at the FFA National Convention in Indianapolis, October 29–November 1. We’re so proud of you!

Notice: Power Outage – Morning Sessions Canceled Due to a power outage on campus, all AM sessions at the LISD TECH Center and LISD PREP Academy are canceled today, Friday, April 25, 2025. The estimated time for power restoration is 10:45 AM. We will provide updates as needed. Classes for JC/LISD at Siena Heights University will continue as scheduled.

🎉 Big congrats to our LISD TECH Center students who stood out at the Michigan HOSA State Leadership Conference! 🥈 Lexiah Gelineau (CNA) earned a silver medal in the Home Health Aide event. 🥉 Savanna Rose (CNA) took bronze in Job Seeking Skills. 👏 Lauren Bills (CNA) received an honorable mention, placing in the top eight for Personal Care. 🎉 Congratulations to the 23 LISD TECH Center students who were honored at this week’s Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Pinning Ceremony! Held on campus April 15, the ceremony recognized the hard work, compassion, and commitment of students from across Lenawee County as they step into the healthcare field. Earlier this year, an additional 28 students from the Nursing Prep Program were celebrated at a similar event. Career-ready and college-bound—LISD TECH Center students always finish strong! 📜✅

LISD Tech Center Law Enforcement and Corrections class hosted the parents of Curt Orlowski. Curt was one of two persons killed by an intoxicated driver in 2014 on US23. Students heard a powerful message about loss, grief, and forgiveness. In addition, students had the opportunity to utilize pedal cars and impaired driving simulation goggles to demonstrate the effect of intoxicating substances.
