LISD TECH Center Programs Marketing & Entrepreneurship and Culinary Arts hosted a Networking Brunch yesterday, May 8th. Program teachers Elizabeth Pechaitis and Jake Graf designed the event to bring together students, advisory committee members, and community stakeholders to provide a platform for networking and professional development. The morning included a networking “icebreaker” where attendees got to know each other by answering various questions & having conversation at their tables, a brunch prepared by culinary arts students and keynote speaker Jason Sweet (Walsh College) who presented a message on “Developing your Personal Brand”.
Students also shared their portfolios and resumes and exchanged business cards with advisory committee members. All students created LinkedIn accounts and look to make connections via social media to begin building their personal network.
